HeliumGeek Mobile Apps Privacy Policy

This policy applies only to the HeliumGeek mobile apps for iOS and Android. It does not apply to HeliumGeek Fleet, the public Explorer, or the HeliumGeek API.

Information we use

  • Service data: an internal identifier, the public hotspot and wallet identifiers you choose to monitor, monitoring and notification settings, and an email address only if you provide one for reports or support.
  • Nearby and search: your current location when you choose the Nearby feature, and hotspot search text, to return relevant results. We do not use this information to track your movements or build a personal search history.
  • App, device, and advertising data: app and device information, general location inferred from an IP address, app interactions, advertising identifiers when permitted, ads viewed or selected, crash reports, and performance information.
  • Purchases: purchase, subscription, receipt, and entitlement information. Apple or Google processes the payment; HeliumGeek does not receive your payment card or bank account information.
  • Support: your name, email address, message, and basic app or device context when you contact us.

We use this information to operate the app, monitor hotspots, deliver notifications and reports, maintain purchases, provide support, protect the service, understand feature use, improve reliability, and display and measure advertising.

Service providers

We use service providers to send notifications, measure app use and reliability, show and measure advertising, and manage purchases and entitlements. Apple and Google process app-store payments. These providers may process the information described above only for the services they provide. We require them to protect personal data consistently with this policy and applicable law. We do not sell personal data.

Your choices

You can control location, notifications, and tracking through the app and your device settings. Advertising identifiers are used only when allowed by your device settings and applicable consent choices. Where available, the app also provides advertising privacy options.

Retention and deletion

We keep service data while it is needed to provide the app and until deletion is requested. Support, purchase, security, and legal records may be kept as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes. Analytics, advertising, and diagnostic providers retain information according to their settings and policies.

Deleting the app removes information stored locally on your device but does not automatically delete information held by the service. To request access, correction, or deletion of your information, contact info@heliumgeek.com.

Other information

We use reasonable safeguards to protect information, but no system is completely secure. The apps are not directed to children under 13. We may update this policy when the apps or our legal obligations change and will post the revised date on this page.
