Frequently Asked Questions

Clear answers for fleet operators and hosting partners

How do I get my fleet data into the platform?

Add the wallets you manage in Settings → Wallets. Dashboards, reports, and payouts are built from gateways owned by those wallets.

What's the difference between Sites and Tags?

Sites group hotspots at the same physical location for rollup metrics. Tags are temporary status labels (e.g., "Needs Maintenance"), and each hotspot can have one tag at a time.

How do I group multiple hotspots I installed at a single restaurant for reporting?

Create a Site for that restaurant in Settings → Sites, then assign each hotspot to it. This gives you rollup reporting for the location.

What are Contacts and why do I need them?

Contacts represent people involved with your hotspots (host, installer, support, referrer, distributor) and are the recipients used in distribution plans and payout reports.

Can contacts log in to the portal?

Yes. Add an email to the contact; portal access for contacts is part of the Enterprise plan. They'll only see gateways assigned to them and active within the assignment dates.

Is it possible for my hosts not see HNT/Helium, but only USD and data amounts?

Yes. Use contact roles/permissions to hide HNT/crypto-specific cards, charts, and table columns for contact logins so they see only USD and data views.

Is it possible for different hosts/contacts to see different versions of the dashboard?

Yes. Assign different contact roles and use permissions to tailor which dashboard sections, charts, and tables each contact can access.

Can I give access to the people from my team?

Yes. Add teammates in Settings → Users for full admin access. For limited access, add them as a Contact with an email and assign a role/permissions.

Is there a limit on the number of users I can add?

No. There is no limit.

How do distribution plans work?

Plans are reusable percentage splits across roles. You apply them to gateways for specific date ranges, and rewards are calculated daily based on the plan active on that date.

Can one person have multiple roles in the same distribution?

Yes. Assign the same contact to multiple roles and their percentages combine in reports.

What happens if a role has no assigned contact?

Those rewards show up as "unassigned" in payout reports so you can fix the missing assignment.

Can I account for fixed costs in payout reports?

Yes. Distribution plans can include fixed monthly costs so payouts automatically deduct those amounts before percentage splits are applied.

How do payout reports and statements work?

Reports are generated on demand with CSV/PDF exports, and you can email statements to contacts who have email addresses on file.

Can I mix HNT and ACH payouts?

Yes. Each contact has a payout destination (HNT wallet or ACH), so a single report can include both based on contact preferences.

What do I need for ACH payouts?

ACH is US-only and requires KYC/KYB verification plus bank details; there's a 0.5% + $0.50 fee and deposits settle next business day.

Where do payout funds come from?

Both HNT and ACH payouts are funded from the connected Solana wallet (Phantom/Solflare/Coinbase Wallet, etc.) on the send page. HNT transfers come directly from that wallet; ACH payouts use the wallet's USDC balance and require some SOL for network fees.

How do monitoring alerts work?

There's a daily email summary toggle in Profile settings and webhook integrations for Slack, Discord, and Microsoft Teams in Account settings.

What kinds of health issues are tracked?

The UI monitors speedtests, heartbeat stability, location trust, oracle boosting, service-provider boosting, and gaming bans with priority levels.

Can I model franchise/parent-child relationships?

Contact hierarchy lets you build corporate → franchisee → venue trees for rollup reporting while keeping payouts per venue contact.

Why don't I see payout reports or integrations on my account?

These capabilities require the Professional plan. If they're missing, check your plan level in Settings → Account.

My website/server is old. Can you install the platform on my server?

That's not a blocker. The platform is hosted by HeliumGeek; whitelabeling connects your domain to our hosted app, so it doesn't depend on your server or legacy tech.

My website is still under construction. Can I still have a whitelabel platform?

Yes. You can use a dedicated subdomain (e.g., portal.yourdomain.com) for the platform while your main site is still being built.

Is it possible not to allow access to some of my hosts?

Yes. Only contacts with an email and active gateway assignments can log in. To block access, remove their email or assignments, or tighten their role permissions.

Are you getting the private key of my wallet?

No. Signing happens inside your wallet extension/app. HeliumGeek only receives the public address and the signed transaction result.

What does "whitelabeling" mean?

Whitelabeling lets you run the platform under your own domain with your logo and brand identity across the experience.
